Painterle is a painter-recognition game built around public-domain masterworks. Each round asks you to identify the artist, then shows a short style note and more works from the same hand.
The painting set is generated from Wikidata and loaded from Wikimedia Commons file paths. The generator keeps works that have Commons image data and excludes artists whose works do not have enough freely available images.
Private rooms use a lightweight Railway API with temporary in-memory room state. Restarting that service clears active rooms.
